So, the question is, do you prefer Winter or Summer? I personally love Winter. Having said that, Winter here in Sawtell is pretty mild, so if I ever had to endure endless Winters somewhere particularly freezing, I would more than likely change my mind! (I’m so fickle) ha, ha!!
I find that it’s so much easier to get warm than it is to cool down. A lot of people say to me “if you’re hot, just go for a swim”. Sure, I understand that, but at some stage you have to eventually get out of the water!
Whereas, if you’re cold, just put on another jumper and you’re good to go!
We tend to go out a lot for coffee and/or a meal and enjoy sitting outside, but when you do this in Summer, there’s no way to cool you down and I find it really hard to enjoy food or coffee in the heat.
In Winter however, most places have heaters, which are lovely and toasty to sit by to have your coffee, food, or as a special Winter treat, a hot chocolate!
I find the fashion in Winter is just always so beautiful! I love all of the “fluffiness” of the knits and scarves. By “fluffiness” I mean choices of wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, just to name a few. I especially think that Winter fashion is always so much more classy. You have such a wider selection of what to wear, especially when it comes to accessories, ie. scarves, gloves, beanies, faux fur collars etc. Also, you get to wear a great selection of jackets and coats, ranging from simple denim jackets to maxi length woollen coats, the choices are endless!
There’s something really snuggly about curling up on the lounge with the fire going, a big chunky knit sweater on, ugg boots and an old classic Hollywood movie, whilst indulging in a row of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate!
Either way, Winter or Summer, we are so lucky to live in a country where we basically get the best of both worlds.
Miss Minnie’s still has some gorgeous jumpers, cardigans, gloves and beanies left for the last of the cold weather.
The new Summer range will be here soon and we’ll all be perspiring and looking for that air conditioner!
