We’ve always loved sneakers, but they’ve really taken off in a big way, hence, the vast choices of colours available to the girl who loves to wear them (that would be me)!!!
I’ve seen, and I own, a few different styles and colours of sneakers, but the new Huskies available now at Miss Minnie’s take the cake!!
Not only are the THE MOST COMFY CASUAL WEARING SNEAKERS you’ll ever put on your twinkle toes, but they look awesome! The sunset pattern teamed with white leather is such a fabulous look for Summer, that you’ll find yourself wearing them all the time!
I often think, “oh what will I wear on my feet today” and almost always end up putting on my sneakers (or my Rollies). Such simple, sensible, comfy and good looking footwear, that it really is a no-brainer.
Pop in to our boutique, Miss Minnie’s in Sawtell, or visit our online store to grab yourself a pair, you won’t be sorry!
]]>I am so excited for the new Spring/Summer season to start and I think it’s because, like everybody else, we are so fed up with the whole Covid-19, that we think warmer weather might just put a little bit of an end to our woes! 🤞
New stock always creates excitement. Believe me, I’ve been doing this for a very long time and I still get a thrill out of opening a new box of stock, even though I know exactly what’s in the box because I ordered it. Sometimes though, I do forget, because I order six months in advance and also because I drink! 🤣🍸
The new stock that has already arrived this week at Miss Minnie’s, is simply beautiful! Great colours, awesome fabrics, terrific styles and vibrant patterns (nice adjectives there Min 😄), even though I am a bit bias!
Some styles have already sold out, so f you haven’t been online yet or into our physical store, do yourself a favour and check it out. You won’t be disappointed! ❤️MM
]]>So many people tell me that they don’t like to purchase a lot of pieces for Winter here in Sawtell, as it is such a short period of time that we are cold. Does that mean that even though it’s only an approximate 3 months that it’s cold, you have to walk around and look like a dag? I think not!!!!
Winter fashion is just as beautiful as Summer fashion is, if not, sometimes a bit nicer, as the fabrics are more pleasing to the touch, a bit more fluffy!!
At my boutique, Miss Minnie’s, we pride ourselves on selecting stunning, reasonably priced styles for our clientele, whether it be for Winter or Summer. To prove that, we have sold quite an extensive amount of Winter stock this year, even though we have been going through such an awful period in ALL our lives across the world, women and men have been purchasing some great fashions from our boutique.
Which brings me to my next point, being that even though we still have a few pieces left in our Winter range, and it is still a bit cold, our Spring/Summer range is on it’s way as we speak!
Spring/Summer this year is certainly going to be a different one than any of us anywhere have ever experienced before, and we hope that you will visit our boutique, (whether in person or online), to see our stunning selections.
The fabulous linens, cottons, bamboos etc. will be welcomed as enthusiastically as they always are, and the colours for this coming Spring/Summer are divine, to say the least! We have floral, cyan, natural, white, sable, blue, pink, teal, bubblegum, salt, wheat, palm print and black, just to name a few!
Last, but not least, I hope that everybody rides out the rest of the Winter with minor hiccups, and let’s look forward to Spring/Summer 2020 and hopefully a definite upwards path!!!
I find that it’s so much easier to get warm than it is to cool down. A lot of people say to me “if you’re hot, just go for a swim”. Sure, I understand that, but at some stage you have to eventually get out of the water!
Whereas, if you’re cold, just put on another jumper and you’re good to go!
We tend to go out a lot for coffee and/or a meal and enjoy sitting outside, but when you do this in Summer, there’s no way to cool you down and I find it really hard to enjoy food or coffee in the heat.
In Winter however, most places have heaters, which are lovely and toasty to sit by to have your coffee, food, or as a special Winter treat, a hot chocolate!
I find the fashion in Winter is just always so beautiful! I love all of the “fluffiness” of the knits and scarves. By “fluffiness” I mean choices of wool, cashmere, alpaca, mohair, just to name a few. I especially think that Winter fashion is always so much more classy. You have such a wider selection of what to wear, especially when it comes to accessories, ie. scarves, gloves, beanies, faux fur collars etc. Also, you get to wear a great selection of jackets and coats, ranging from simple denim jackets to maxi length woollen coats, the choices are endless!
There’s something really snuggly about curling up on the lounge with the fire going, a big chunky knit sweater on, ugg boots and an old classic Hollywood movie, whilst indulging in a row of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate!
Either way, Winter or Summer, we are so lucky to live in a country where we basically get the best of both worlds.
Miss Minnie’s still has some gorgeous jumpers, cardigans, gloves and beanies left for the last of the cold weather.
The new Summer range will be here soon and we’ll all be perspiring and looking for that air conditioner!
]]>Cardigans have buttons, jackets don’t. That used to be the way, but now, cardigans are acceptable without buttons and just hanging open. By contrast, a cardigan is not a jumper (sweater), because it does not pull over the head. Coco Chanel made cardigans popular, because she hated the way her hair got all messed up from pulling a jumper over her head.
The cardigan got its name from James Brudenell, the 7th Earl of Cardigan, as he was a British Army Major General and led the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava during the Crimean War. It was modelled after the knitted wool waistcoat that the British officers supposedly wore during the war. The legend of the event, and the notoriety that Lord Cardigan achieved after the war, led to its popularity. Apparently he invented the cardigan as we know it, because the tails of his coat had accidentally been burnt off in a fireplace.
Cardigans are such a handy garment to have in your wardrobe. You can wear them with ANYTHING. Jeans, pants, skirts, dresses, tops, skivvies, shorts and shirts. You can wear them open, or take on the look of a jumper (sweater) and button them up.
I own quite a few cardigans and have always and will continue to always wear them. Every Winter cardigans resurface and seem to never date (that explains why I have so many).
This Winter, treat yourself to one at Miss Minnie’s, there’s plenty to choose from.
]]>Having said that, if you aren’t feeling extremely motivated and yet you still want to be casual and comfortable and not sacrifice style, our Autumn/Winter styles will do just that and make you yearn for a lazy autumn day whilst relaxing in the sun, in your beautiful Miss Minnie’s selections.

Miss Minnie’s stocks some wonderful shoe labels and one of the labels that we stock is Rollie Nation.
If you’ve never tried on a Rollie shoe, do yourself a favour and go try a pair.
I actually own 11 pairs, and I know that sounds ridiculous, but I work every day and these are great to work in because they’re great support for your feet, they are very light and they are also so cute to look at!
Rollies weigh only 365g, so that’s why they call them the travel shoe, because they’re so light they are great for travelling.
Pack a pair, wear a pair!
I always take two pairs when travelling, one for the plane and one for inside my luggage! They come in all sorts of styles and colours, which makes it hard to stop at just buying one pair!
Pinks, blues, silvers, spots, animal prints, punch hole leather, suede, sandals, mules and the list goes on!!!!
Rollies are a definite winner so check out our range or browse all our amazing shoes instore.
